Sasquatch Music Festival 2010

It's been a week now since Sasquatch ended and we began our journey back to Calgary and I've finally finished picking through about six hundred photos to find my favourites to show you. I had an amazing time and plan on returning next year, if you haven't ever been to Sasquatch then I urge you to check it out. The people there are great, the scenery is unbelievable, and just the overall atmosphere of the festival is incredible. 

I'll post a good friends account of what happened last year when we attempted Sasquatch, long story short it was an amazing failure.

Assignment 1 : Faces!

In an effort to get myself out of a slump and start taking photos again I've decided to start giving myself weekly assignments, and I though why not include all of you! As you may have noticed I've added a new page to this site called Drop Box, that's where you can upload your submissions for each weeks assignment and I'll post them in a new gallery in the Photography section every week. 

Each week will have a different theme that will have a particular constraint, maybe the colour, shape, or size of whatever it is you choose to take photos of. It's very important that you pick up your camera and take new photos instead of just uploading old photos you've taken that happen to work with the weekly theme. 

This weeks theme is faces, now I'm not talking about animal or human faces, I'm talking about the faces you find that are composed of objects. The most obvious example would be the face found on the front of a car, but if you look hard enough you'll realize that THERE ARE FACES ALL AROUND YOU! Without going insane, I'd like you to look for these faces around your home, workplace, or where ever you happen to be and photograph them. 

It's important to know that this is open to everyone, no matter what your skill level is, everyone is welcome to participate! I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with, and hope that this isn't a miserable failure, remember to submit your name with the photo so I can credit you when I post the images in the gallery.
